Iām Andy Leeder, the field recordist behind Out There Audio. I follow unusual animal voices and natural environments into remote places, recording the character and detail of the living world with patience and care.
My work has taken me through Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic, where wind, ice, wildlife, and distance can transform the feeling of a place. I turn those encounters into rare, real sound libraries for filmmakers, sound designers, game creators, and other storytellers looking for something distinctive.
I record with respect for the animals and landscapes I encounter. Part of why I do this is to share sounds from places few people experience, and to foster appreciation and care for the environments they come from.
Out There Audio is my way of bringing those moments into new stories: clean, characterful recordings with room to be shaped, layered, and made your own.
